Flower Car - Kenneth Pobo

The trellis against the shed

held several enormous blue


passion flower blossoms.

In September the vine


stopped blooming. How grim

when flowers quit on me, cars


that die at a red light. It turns

green and there I sit,


cursing the car,

cursing everything.
