Up Up - Anthony Salandy

Up, Up! cried that luminous sphere

As it made its final ascent

Far above the well-wishing trees


Whose rustling leaves

Spread the aromatic pine

Far beyond the dewy grounds,


Again up up went the orb

As the sky darkened

And a cool gloaming set in-


Just as the sun disappeared

And the moon sparkled

To highlight the fickle fancies-


Of childhood enchantment
