the skyscrapers of Mumbai,

Home Depot, monster trucks, concrete

poetry, reality TV, political pundits, megachurches

mini malls,

the Great Pacific garbage patch nothing

everything

the Earth

will forget

it all, and the sun

will croak,

like an old Nigerian toad.


Immortality is a broken chord

on a harp

made of fool‘s gold.
