soggy


the breeze dances with hair


furiously


how you would curl it around your finger


skeletal


the eggs remind me of hallways shaking


with coughs


choking on easter happiness


the hand


the porcelain egg


how warm you felt


the itchy scarf


you pull closer


like fingers prying open ribs


inhale old perfume and rotten chocolate


the scent of october.
