Easter Eggs in October - Bríanne O' Gorman
Updated: Jun 17, 2020
misplaced in brown blades
soggy
the breeze dances with hair
furiously
how you would curl it around your finger
skeletal
the eggs remind me of hallways shaking
with coughs
choking on easter happiness
the hand
the porcelain egg
how warm you felt
the itchy scarf
you pull closer
like fingers prying open ribs
inhale old perfume and rotten chocolate
the scent of october.
