An Ocean - Joe Farrell

My mind is an ocean.

Drowning me in inconsistencies.

A silent day and deafened night.

Flinch at wavelengths

Unwanted noise.


Thinking the ocean will calm.

I crave for consistency.

Every morning Sweat greets.


Mind laughing.


Night approaches in her all blacks.

As comfort envelopes me.

The room drowns in sound.

There is no land in an ocean without reason.
