the oscillating in the midst


a wallflower in the underpass,


comforting myself with fresh blacklists


the convex mischief-maker


tearing my tights on bombweed


Tish, love you always xxxxx

hunkered inside the tunnel


the graffiti


for vanity and for safety


highroad from the rails,


splattered, grimace


brown with disillusionment


keys between fingers,

and the symbolic divide between opulence and survival

Helen Bowie is a London based performer, podcaster and poet. Helen has a day job at a charity, and no formal artistic training. She forever feels like a charlatan and an interloper.
