the heady summers of 2005


to the bitter winters of 2007


the oscillating in the midst


a wallflower in the underpass,


comforting myself with fresh blacklists


the convex mischief-maker


tearing my tights on bombweed


Tish, love you always xxxxx


council-issued beige


hunkered inside the tunnel


the graffiti


for vanity and for safety


highroad from the rails,


splattered, grimace


brown with disillusionment


keys between fingers,

and the symbolic divide between opulence and survival
